It’s action-packed and heavy on the paranormal power displays, which I loved! Set in the Night Huntress World, there are lots of tie-ins to the previous series, with cameos from Mencheres and Ian (Ian!!!), as well as characters that we’ve met in previous books of this series, and some new faces. They will need to find someone to guide them through the magical underworld to get answers, and their explorations will reveal secrets and dangers that they were never expecting. To break the connection, Vlad and Leila need to find a spell – but magic is forbidden to vampires. ![]() Whatever happens to one happens to the other, and when Mircea is captured and tortured as a way of hurting Leila, Vlad is expected to do the unthinkable in order to save the love of his life.
